How the Super Blue Moon Eclipse Will Affect Your Sign
Written by Sasha Jones
The first month of the year is always important in that it sets the tone for your upcoming year. This year, January will conclude with a super blue moon eclipse, the first of its kind in 150 years visible in the Americas.
Fire Signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius):
The full moon will take place in Leo, meaning this will be a time of illumination and feelings of immense energy. The blue moon will also ignite the creativity houses in the other fire signs. Use this time to fuel any newfound passions, or pick back up old interests that you may have forgotten.
Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces):
For water signs, the moon will show itself in career houses. This may range anywhere from being hired for a new job to a professional accomplishment. To fully utilize these opportunities, keep your resources in mind and use them wisely.
Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn):
Although Earth signs are not always emotional, this moon falls into the emotional houses of Earth signs. This may be a surprising shift for you, so make sure to take time to care for yourself and medicate when necessary.
Air Signs (Libra, Gemini and Aquarius):
For Air signs, the full moon will play an important role in relationships, both platonic and romantic. To embrace this moving forward, define what you want or may be lacking in your present relationships.
No matter what your sign is, moons have significant impact in astrology, with each phase of the moon affecting individuals differently. Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist who founded analytical psychology, believed that lunar eclipses reveal one’s “shadow self,” the lesser liked part of one’s unconsciousness.
This lunar eclipse, rather than dismissing your shadow self, acknowledge and confront it honestly. This will help you further take steps to achieve a sense of wholeness.
